A Roscommon based company is to create ten jobs over the next two years with the launch of InselCare, a nursing home care management IT platform.

InselCare is a resident centred solution that supports patient safety and care standards.

It includes both clinical and non-clinical care management modules enabling nursing home operators to deliver quality care management, improve efficiencies, control and visibility of resident care delivery and ensure procedures meet regulatory and compliance requirements, according to a statement from the company.

The team behind InselCare expect the ten new, highly skilled jobs in the areas of IT support, sales/marketing, system training and implementation to be created over the next two years.

“Almost half of all nursing homes in Ireland do not have an IT based care management system in place and instead are relying on paper-based, non-centralised recording of essential client care and operational data,” Seamus Quinn, sales director at InselCare, said.

“This is an extremely labour and time intensive means of data recording, not to mention a regulatory and compliance nightmare for nursing home managers.”

The product, which has been 16 months in development, is a complete enterprise resource planning cloud based hybrid solution.

Being cloud based and hybrid enables the system to work both online and offline, in the event that wifi is unavailable the system’s care module will record data offline and automatically update once wifi becomes available again.
